What I loved about working at Kaplow

If someone asked me, "Why do you love interning at Kaplow?" I would say, "It's a great learning experience for the PR field."

But if you asked me on a deeper level, I'd say, "Kaplow was the full-circle moment I never expected. Over the past eight weeks, I've grown to love this agency, not just for the work but for the people who make it so successful. This experience has fostered immense personal and professional growth, and I will cherish every second."

Nine years ago, as a middle schooler, I was captivated by YouTube videos from creators like Alisha Marie and Bethany Mota. I was always drawn to their back-to-school content about DIY school supplies, locker decorations, and more. A common theme was that these content creators would go to one store for all their back-to-school needs: Target.

Fast forward to today, and I had the privilege of working with the Target team at Kaplow, assisting with various brand initiatives, including their back-to-school campaigns. Observing the behind-the-scenes operations that contribute to Target's success was mesmerizing. It was not only a significant boost for my career but also a dream come true for the younger version of me who has always loved Target.

Discovering that Kaplow was behind many of those influential PR efforts makes interning here even more special. This agency played a role in shaping my love for the PR industry through notable moments with my favorite brands, even before I started my position. 

Those back-to-school YouTube videos inspired me to create my own channel, ultimately developing strong skills and leading me to study public relations. Unknowingly, Kaplow was a part of this journey, helping to build a solid foundation for my career.

The people truly make the place, and I'm forever grateful for the chance to work with the supportive community at this agency. The dedication and collaboration among the teams here are evident in their outstanding work. 

Although my internship at Kaplow is ending (and I am quite emotional about it!), I look back on my time here with a sense of substantial growth. Thank you to everyone at the agency, especially my manager Kristen Rary, who welcomed me with open arms. Learning from some of the best in the industry has been one of the top experiences of my life. I can't wait to see the continued success and impactful work that Kaplow will achieve!
